Lemon Buttered Tilapia

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking: 30 minutes


Ingredients:

4 pcs unboned Tilapia sprinkled with salt and pepper

1/2 cup gluten free flour

2 tbsp cornstarch 

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp ground black pepper

1 tsp salt


For the sauce:

4 tbsp unsalted butter

1 tbsp olive oil

2 cloves garlic minced

1 tbsp of flour

1/2 cooking wine

1 cup water

1 tbsp bouillon paste

1 lemon squeezed

Handful of parsley for garnishing


Preparation:

  1. Clean and pat-dry the tilapia. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  2. Squeeze out lemon. Set aside.
  3. Smash garlic and mince. 
  4. Chop parsley.
  5. Combined Flour, cornstarch, garlic, black pepper and salt.


Cooking:

  1. Heat pan and pour a little amount of oil. 
  2. Roll tilapia in flour mixture.
  3. Toss tilapia in a pan until slightly brown. Do the same in the other side.
  4. Remove from the pan and repeat frying until all 4 pieces is done. Set aside.

Sauce:

  1. In the same pan. Pour the garlic, sauté for about half a minute. 
  2. Add flour stir until evenly mix.
  3. Add cooking wine. Simmer for about a minute.
  4. Add water and bouillon. Boil then add lemon juice. Simmer about half a minute. 
  5. Pour in the Tilapia and sprinkle with the parsley. Serve hot. Enjoy!

Note: All times are approximations. Adjust flavors by increasing/decreasing amounts of ingredients.
